Transport

London is a fabulous city with enriched history, interracial culture, busy life, sizzling winters and fog. It’s all happening in London. If you want to catch all the fun going on in London and spend a marvelous time here then having efficient transport is essential and the city looks after that as well. If you are a walk lover and you think you will walk through the city then you are mistaken.

If you have planned to visit a small area your two legs will accompany you but not through the whole of it. The city is more than 609 sq miles and you definitely need a transport. If you enjoy a bike ride then raving through the London streets would be fun for you. But you
will have to bear a lot of things to enjoy this fun like heavy traffic, drivers of London and rains! There are places which you will enjoy best on the bike like tracks and paths along the channels, Thames River, Lee valley and the beautiful parks of London.

Another fantastic and cost effective way to go around the city is the famous London underground train network known as The Tube. You can visit numerous places through this network and at the same time enjoy the undersurface train journey. The system has been improved for the traveler’s convenience and a credit card like system has been introduced known as the oyster card. You can just swap the card and keep travelling where ever you want. This system is convenient for the travelers and cost effective as well.

There are places where the Tube network does not reach (southern side of the river) and then you will have to resort to buses. The network of the buses is very extensive and reaches the deepest parts of the city. Previously there were the buses which had the rear door open at all times and the passengers could enter and exit through that. Now those buses have been obsolete and Double Decker has become the new trademark.

If you are not on with the public transport and want to have your own then you can go for the cabs. They will take you anywhere at any time and they are quick. It will save your time and is more convenient. They have their advantages but certainly they will be expensive than public transport. You have another option of rent a car and it is easily available. There are several rental outlets in the city and you can easily get a car booked for yourself.

Roaming around in London would be fun. It will be great if you experience all of these transport facilities as each has its own taste.
