The Olympic Stadium in London officially open
The stadium, which will be held this year’s Summer Olympics in London officially open 83 days before the opening. One youth was randomly selected from 40 thousand people crowd that arrived for the ceremony, celebrated 2012 hours before the official opening of the Olympics.
The gold medalist from the Beijing Paralympics in archery Danielle Brown shot a series of arrows at moving objects to choose the young boy from among 100 others aged 8 to 14 years.
The stadium is already taking the first official sports event. From Friday to Sunday here will be held the championship in athletics of the British Universities and Colleges. Maybe it is not a good omen for UK team, but the first winner is an Irish student and participant in hurdles.
