Around 900,000 tickets for the competitions of the Summer Olympic Games in London will be on sale on Friday, said the organizing committee of London 2012.

There will be tickets for the Athletics competitions, the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony and the football tournament.

“We knew that thousands of sports enthusiasts were disappointed they were not able to obtain tickets for games at a time when demand was very strong. We promised that we will release new tickets and we fulfilled our promise,” said Sebastian Coe, chairman of the Organizing Committee.

The tickets will go on sale on-line, in the official web site http://www.tickets.london2012.com, beginning at 11 a.m. time on Friday.
